Gretchen Watts, Clinical Director
When an employee of Watts’ became seriously ill, her genuine compassion as a colleague and friend came to the forefront. Watts, who is the Director of Behavioral Health and a staff member since 2007, helped the employee with a long-standing tradition of serving her large family a home-cooked meal. The employee herself couldn’t prepare the meal, so Watts went to the woman’s house and cooked an entire barbeque for the family.
This is just one of the example of Watts’ concern and caring for others. She is passionate about the geriatric population she serves and she is problem-solver and leader with her peers.
Watts is also active in the community with the Alzehimer’s association. She has participated and led events for the association and she is also known for her knowledge on the topic of dementia and has been a speaker at local events. Watts has been recognized by the Department of Health Surveyors for her knowledge and performance above standards.
Jeff Leslie, Non-Clinical Director
As the Director of the IT department since 2012, Leslie has seen an increased number of demands on the department, but he has proven his abilities to prioritize and execute many projects at one time. He successfully completed larger projects this year, including Stage 2 implementation of Medhost CPOE, patient portal and the data center renovation just to name a few.
Leslie and his team provide an exceptional level of support and expertise and he stands out as someone who communicates well with his peers and administration.
Danielle Busch, Employee of the Year
Teamwork and a positive attitude are crucial and obvious even in the most fast-paced, hectic departments such as the emergency department where Busch has served as an R.N. since 2012. Busch is friendly and outgoing and goes out of her way to promote a positive image for the hospital. She is excellent with the patients and a team player.
