Pennsylvania Ambulance LLC, a locally owned and operated emergency medical services provider dedicated to providing the highest quality of care with compassion, dignity and respect for our local communities, and Commonwealth Health today announced they have reached an agreement for Pennsylvania Ambulance to acquire certain assets of Commonwealth Health EMS (CHEMS) and to continue the services previously provided by CHEMS without disruption, change or reduction in service to the areas served by CHEMS. CHEMS will become a part of Pennsylvania Ambulance’s expanding medical transportation portfolio. Employees from the CHEMS organization will be integrated into the Pennsylvania Ambulance team. This acquisition will make Pennsylvania Ambulance LLC, the largest ambulance provider in Northeastern Pennsylvania both geographically and number of communities served.
“The Pennsylvania Ambulance family is excited to welcome the valued employees from CHEMS into our organization,” said Chief Executive Officer Christopher Taramelli of Pennsylvania Ambulance LLC and TransMed LLC. “This acquisition has afforded us an opportunity to expand our services. This will also improve the scale of our capabilities to close gaps in care delivery across the region. This acquisition will put Pennsylvania Ambulance in a stronger position to support our mission which is providing great care, a family-oriented work environment coupled with innovative technology and equipment, which will provide a more efficient and effective EMS Operation.”
Pennsylvania Ambulance plans to have CHEMS operations and employees fully integrated into the company’s organizational structure by the end of November. Local communities will not see any changes in EMS coverage while the acquisition occurs. Pennsylvania Ambulance LLC, is a locally owned and operated EMS provider with locations and services throughout northeast Pennsylvania.
