SCRANTON, Pa. (Dec. 9, 2016) – Commonwealth Health Moses Taylor Hospital unveiled its new interventional radiology suite which offers patients safer, less invasive diagnostic and treatment options. Minimally invasive interventional radiology is beneficial to patients who need surgery but may want to avoid traditional surgery. Interventional radiologists perform minimally invasive techniques to treat a wide variety of conditions in nearly every organ system using X-ray and other imaging technologies — such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and ultrasound — to guide small, specialized instruments through tiny incisions to treat affected areas.
