Boylan to oversee Commonwealth Health Behavioral Health Services

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Nov. 22, 2016) – Eugene Boylan has been named CEO of Behavioral Health Services for Commonwealth Health and will oversee operations at First Hospital, CHOICES, Community Counseling Services and other affiliated entities.
Gene is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and holds a master’s degree from Marywood University. He previously served as program director of Senior Mental Health at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Gene began his career in the mental health field in 1972 and beginning in 1983 served in a variety of roles at First Hospital until his move to Moses Taylor Hospital.
Gene is well-known and respected in the behavioral health field and we are indeed fortunate to have him as a member of our leadership team.
He and his wife Mary live in Kingston. They have two daughters, Bridget and Molly.
