Commonwealth Health Names Three to Administrative Nursing Positions

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Feb. 28, 2018) -- Commonwealth Health has announced the appointment of three longtime employees to new administrative nursing positions.
Maribeth Angeli was named chief nursing officer at Berwick Hospital Center, Judith Ragukas was named interim chief nursing officer at Tyler Memorial Hospital and Doreen Kolojejchick was named assistant chief nursing officer at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Angeli, a resident of Wilkes-Barre, began her nursing career at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital in 1978 where she served as a clinical director, clinical leader, case manager and staff registered nurse. She worked as a clinical manager at Moses Taylor Hospital for two years before returning to General Hospital. She most recently served as chief nursing officer at Tyler Memorial Hospital.
She is a graduate of Luzerne County Community College and earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Misericordia University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing leadership at Western Governors University.
She and her husband Joseph have three children – Joseph, Kathleen and Michael – and two grandchildren.
Ragukas, who most recently served as assistant chief nursing officer at Regional Hospital of Scranton, has more than 35 years of acute care experience and 30 years of management.
She previously worked at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and earned an associate's degree in nursing from Luzerne County Community College, a bachelor's degree from Misericordia University and is enrolled in the master of organizational management program at Misericordia University. She is an active volunteer with the American Heart Association Heart Walk and the American Cancer Society.
She resides in Plymouth with her husband, Don. They have two children, Traci and Zachary, and four grandchildren.
Kolojejchick served as chief nursing officer at Special Care Hospital, Nanticoke, for 23 years, and most recently was the chief nursing officer at Berwick Hospital. She previously was assistant chief nursing officer at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Misericordia University and a master’s degree from Barry University, Miami Shores, Fla., and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau. She is an active member of the All Saints Parish, Plymouth, where she serves on several committees and is affiliated with Mother Teresa’s Haven, St. Vincent DePaul Kitchen and the Catherine McAuley House.
She and her husband, James, live in Larksville. They have two children, Matthew and Kelsey.
