Home Exercises, Safety Focus of Stroke Support Meeting

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (May 21, 2018) – Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Stroke Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. June 20 at the Thomas P. Saxton Medical Pavilion, 468 Northampton St., Kingston. This recently established group was formed to help stroke patients and their caregivers deal with everyday issues.

Michele Long, physical therapist, will present "In Home Exercises/Home Safety Modifications.”

Jennifer Perrins, a registered nurse and nursing supervisor at the hospital’s Center for Advance Rehabilitation, will serve as facilitator for the monthly meetings.

Each monthly meeting will include a guest speaker, planned topic and educational session. The next meetings are July 18 and Aug. 15.

Light refreshments will be served.
