TUNKHANNOCK, Pa., (Dec. 18, 2015) – Ann Marie Stevens, Carbondale, has been named chief executive officer of Commonwealth Health Tyler Memorial Hospital effective immediately.
Stevens joined Tyler Memorial as interim CEO earlier this fall. She is an established leader in the region’s health care community, having served as CEO at Mid Valley Hospital for 14 years, ultimately working to transition the facility to serve the community as Mid Valley Outpatient Center. More recently, she has served as a special project manager at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
“The physicians and employees at Tyler Memorial Hospital are a skilled and caring group of professionals,” Stevens said. “Patients can count on them for the personalized care they need right here in the community and we will continue to build from this foundation of service and caring.”
Stevens earned a bachelor of science degree from Wilkes University and has a strong background in critical care, working in management roles in both the emergency department and and the intensive care unit. She served as director of nursing at Mid Valley Hospital prior to her tenure as CEO there and participated in the Small Hospital Council of Pennsylvania and the Critical Access Consortium of PA.
