First Hospital Hosting Lecture on Cyber Bullying
8/26/2014
WILKES-BARRE - As part of its Professional Education Series, First Hospital will host a lecture on “What You Need To Know About Cyber Bullying” on Wednesday, Oct 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thomas P. Saxton Medical Pavilion Center for Health Education, 268 Northampton Street, Edwardsville.
Janene M. Holter, senior supervisory special agent, will be the presenter of the lecture which is free and open to the public.
The program will focus on changing the way students and adults think about bullying. No longer a push on the playground or a whisper in the hall, bullying has been transformed by the Internet and now includes texting, social media, emails and websites.
This program is designed to help educate kids, parents, schools and mental health professionals on the importance of being safe online.
Ms. Holter is currently assigned to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Education and Outreach Program.
