First Hospital Recognized with Safety Award

KINGSTON, Pa. (Nov. 12, 2014) - First Hospital, an affiliate of Commonwealth Health, was recently recognized by the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania with a safety award in the category of fall prevention.

The statewide association recognizes hospitals for their exceptional performance and participation in the organization's Pennsylvania Hospital Engagement Network at the annual Patient Safety & Quality Symposium. The Partnership for Patients program is aimed at reducing preventable harm and readmissions.

First Hospital was the only psychiatric facility in the state to be awarded this recognition.
