Raklewicz and Mattucci Team up for Orthopedic Lecture

Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital orthopedic surgeons, Dr. Michael Raklewicz and Dr. James Mattucci spoke on Nov. 13 at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs about the latest advancements in orthopedic surgeries. The doctors presented in front of more than 50 people and showed the options that are available in hip and knee replacements, as well as the best candidates for surgery and the benefits of the procedures. 

Mary Carol Montagna, RN, orthopedic care navigator, also spoke about the newly structured Joint Center at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, which will officially makes its debut on Dec. 15. 

Drs. Raklewicz and Mattucci also spoke with members of the Medical Explorers about careers as orthopedic surgeons prior to speaking with the general public.
