First Hospital Hosts Lecture on Addiction

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa. (March 26, 2015) – Commonwealth Health First Hospital recently presented a free lecture on addiction as part of its Professional Education Series at the Thomas P. Saxton Pavilion. “Addiction 101: Assessing Drug Abuse and Social Consequences” was presented by Lisa Costaris, D.O., medical director of CHOICES, and Ashely Wirbicki, director of CHOICES Recovery Program. The session focused on recent trends of substance abuse and was designed to help educate clinicians, parents, schools and health care professionals on treatment options for individuals working to overcome addiction.
