Commonwealth Health Surpasses Goal in Annual Mammothon

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Nov. 2, 2015) – The final results of the 2015 Commonwealth Health Mammothon are in and volunteers from five hospitals and an imaging center surpassed its goal for scheduled mammograms.
Volunteers made 4,756 calls to women who were past due for their annual mammograms, offering to schedule these critical screenings or giving a gentle reminder about the importance of yearly mammograms.
The 130 volunteers scheduled 638 mammograms – or 130 percent of the goal of 489 scheduled mammograms.
Participating were volunteers from Berwick Hospital Center, Moses Taylor Hospital, Regional Hospital of Scranton, Tyler Memorial Hospital, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and the Diagnostic Imaging Center.
