Commonwealth Health Cardiologist Earns FASNC Designation

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Jan. 4, 2018) – Rupen Parikh, M.D., a cardiologist affiliated with Commonwealth Health Physician Network, has been approved for the designation of Fellow of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
The Fellow designation recognizes members of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology who have fulfilled both the training and performance requirements that are necessary for certification through the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. The society’s mission is to improve cardiovascular outcomes through image-guided patient management.
Dr. Parikh is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation® and is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He completed a residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and fellowships at Seton Hall University and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Parikh has an office in Kingston and is a member of the medical staff of Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
