ICU Renovation Underway at Regional Hospital of Scranton
5/15/2018
SCRANTON, Pa. (May 15, 2018) -- Commonwealth Health Regional Hospital of Scranton is working toward the completion of its newly renovated intensive care unit (ICU). The project is currently in its second phase and is expected to be complete early next year.
The current 16-bed ICU will be expanded into a 24-bed ICU, with all private patient rooms. The updated ICU will house a new nurses station. New ceiling tiles, paint, lighting, heating units and flooring are part of the ongoing renovation. Construction on Regional’s intensive care unit expansion and modernization, which was announced last summer, is part of the 2020 expansion project that will connect Moses Taylor Hospital and Regional Hospital to create a unified Commonwealth Health Scranton Campus.
