Commonwealth Health to Offer Smoking Cessation Program in Luzerne, Lackawanna Counties

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Aug. 21, 2018) -- Commonwealth Health, in cooperation with the American Lung Association, will host an eight-week quit smoking program in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. The program is open to network employees and the public.
Freedom From Smoking ® Group Clinic, the smoking cessation program, offers a structured, systematic approach to quitting smoking. Participants overseen by a certified facilitator, topics will include:
- Medications which can increase your success
- Lifestyle changes to make quitting easier
- How to prepare for your quit day
- Coping strategies for managing stress and avoiding weight gain
- How to stay smoke-free for good
Classes will be held at these locations:
Regional Hospital Outpatient Center, Crossgate Plaza, 1785 N. Keyser Ave, Scranton, Wednesdays at 6 p.m. from Sept. 12-Oct. 31.
