Ahamed Shamsedeen, M.D. joins Commonwealth Health

Ahamed Shamsedeen, M.D., has joined the medical staff of Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and will practice family medicine at 111 West End Road, Hanover Township.

Dr. Shamsedeen earned a doctor of medicine degree from Shanghai Second Medical University, China. He was in the internal medicine residency program at Richmond University Medical Center and most recently was in the family medicine residency program at Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Shamsedeen was a research associate at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Yale University and was a post doctoral associate at Fox Chase Center.
