Artists from the Abilities thru Arts Studio, which is a part of the Commonwealth Health Day Development program, recently earned ribbons for their artwork at the Luzerne County Fair.
The artists work throughout the year and are preparing for their annual Christmas Show and Sale on Nov. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and will be held in the basement level of the First Hospital building, 562 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston.
Handmade "zombie" ornaments as well as traditional ornaments for sale along with hand-knitted scarves and hats, jewelry, paintings, lockerhooked rugs and baked goods will be available. All proceeds benefit the art studio and its dedicated artists. Refreshments will be served.
