Bathroom Safety Focus of Stroke Support Meeting

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (June 19, 2018) – Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Stroke Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. July 18 at the Thomas P. Saxton Medical Pavilion, 468 Northampton St., Kingston. This recently established group was formed to help stroke patients and their caregivers deal with everyday issues.

Katie O’Hearn, occupational therapist, will present "Bathroom Safety/Modifications.”

Jennifer Perrins, a registered nurse and nursing supervisor at the hospital’s Center for Advanced Rehabilitation, will serve as facilitator for the monthly meetings.

Each monthly meeting will include a guest speaker, planned topic and educational session. The next meeting is set for Aug. 15.

Light refreshments will be served.
