CHEMS, Air Methods host Hangar Day at Seamans Airport

Commonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services (CHEMS) and Air Methods will host a Hangar Day on Sunday, July 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Seamans Airport, 727 Windsock Lane, Factoryville.

The event, which is open to the public, will offer children and adults an opportunity to sit inside Commonwealth One, the helicopter, and walk around the hangar and see the air crew's quarters.

In addition, attendees can meet the air crew, including flight paramedic, flight nurse, and pilot. The Critical Care Ground Transport team will be on hand so attendees can tour the ambulance and answer questions.

Refreshments will be available and there will be giveaways for kids and adults.

The day will also help build relationships with partners from the field as EMS, fire and police partners will see where the helicopter is housed, tour the aircraft, learn about landing zones and flight safety and ask questions.
