Commonwealth Health to Offer Free Hernia Screening/Clinics

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Jan. 4, 2018) – Commonwealth Health will sponsor free hernia screening clinics in the Wilkes-Barre and Scranton areas in January.

A clinic/screening will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at Mohegan Sun Pocono, Highway 315, Plains Township.

The Scranton event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 23 at the McGowan Large Conference Center, 743 Jefferson Ave., Scranton, across the street from the main entrance to Regional Hospital of Scranton.

Those in attendance will learn more about this common but poorly understood condition, the importance of early detection and the minimally invasive procedure for repair which is available at Commonwealth Health facilities.

A demonstration of the latest in robotic-assisted technology will be given. Free screenings will be available following the presentation.
