Commonwealth Health Walks with the Community to Promote Heart Health

Commonwealth Health renewed commitment to community outreach as a nonprofit organization by sponsoring this year’s Northeast PA Heart Walk at PNC Field. The event took place Saturday, May 9, at 235 Montage Mountain Road in Moosic.
With the support of the Tenor Foundation, Commonwealth Health reconnected with the community through meaningful, health-focused engagement. Attendees visited the Commonwealth Health booth for free blood pressure screenings, educational resources on heart health and an opportunity to enter the organization’s annual bike raffle. This year, 10 bikes were given away to promote active living and wellness among community members of all ages.
Demonstrating strong internal support for the cause, Commonwealth Health was represented by a team of 60 walkers participating in the event.
As a $2,500 Mile Marker sponsor, Commonwealth Health continued a longstanding tradition of supporting the Heart Walk, with more than 20 years of participation in this important initiative. The organization remains dedicated to improving cardiovascular health and raising awareness of heart disease prevention throughout the region.
Community members stooped by, participated in the walk and learned more about the services Commonwealth Health provides close to home.
