Dr. Charlton Earns Prestigious Sports Medicine Certification

Wilkes-Barre, PA (March 6, 2014) – Kingston orthopaedic surgeon William Charlton, MD, recently received a sub-specialty certification in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Charlton is one of the only physicians in the region to be so credentialed. A sports medicine sub-specialty certification is awarded to surgeons who have demonstrated expertise in sports medicine by specialty training, sports practice and contributions to the field.

Dr. Charlton has served as Team Physician for Kings College since 2002 and has been an orthopaedic consultant for the Los Angeles Lakers, Kings, Dodgers,Extreme Football and other high-intensity sports.

He is available for consultation in the management of sports injuries and orthopaedic disorders at his office at 390 Pierce Street, Kingston.
