Dr. John Doherty to Present Lecture on Innovations in Hip and Knee Replacement

SCRANTON, PA (April 25, 2014) – Dr. John Doherty will present “Latest Innovations in Hip and Knee Replacement” at noon May 14 in the McGowan Conference  Room on the second floor of Regional Hospital of Scranton.

The community lecture is open to the public. Lunch will be provided to all those attending. Reservations are required and may be made by calling Maggie Redmond, executive director of orthopedics and neurosciences at Regional Hospital, at 570-348-7028 by May 9.

Dr. Doherty is chief of orthopedics at Regional Hospital which is the only Pennsylvania hospital to be awarded Joint Commission certification for hip, knee and shoulder joint replacement surgeries. The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval is awarded by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in disease-specific care.
