WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2017) – Patrick Kilduff, M.D., a Commonwealth Health family practice doctor in the Shavertown office, is participating in Sunday’s New York City Marathon. He is running in conjunction with WNEP’s Ryan’s Run 8, an official Silver Charity Partner of the race. Funds raised locally support Allied Services Integrated Health System. Dr. Kilduff’s inspiration is his 4-year-old niece, Eva, who is a beneficiary of the Allied Services program. Eva was born with 2/3 of her liver outside of her body, a condition known as an omphalocele. She was born 8 weeks early and had bilateral ventricular bleeds (strokes) in her brain which delayed her developmentally.Eva has made incredible strides thanks to pediatric rehab including physical, occupational and speech therapy services. Dr. Kilduff has raised $13,179, or 264 percent of his goal of $5,000. InterMountain Medical Group has raised $1,900 through donations and the sale of bracelets.
