Dr. Raklewicz To Discuss Same-day Joint Replacement Surgery

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Sept. 25, 2017) -- Michael Raklewicz, M.D., will present “Is Same-Day Joint Replacement Right for You?,” a free community health talk, at 6 p.m. Oct. 19 at Mohegan Sun Pocono, 1280 Highway 315, Plains Township.

Dr. Raklewicz, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement, is a member of the medical staff of Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He will explain the effects arthritis has on joints, ways to alleviate this pain and discuss advances in joint replacement surgery that may allow some qualifying patients to return home the same day of surgery.
