Freyer To Head Intensivist Program at Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Feb. 26, 2018) – Abhishek Freyer, M.D., has joined the Commonwealth Health Physician Network to practice intensivist medicine. He is on the medical staff of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
An intensivist is a physician who is undergoes advanced training to provide special care for critically ill patients.
Dr. Freyer graduated from the University of California, Davis, Calif., with bachelor degrees in biology and economics. He earned a doctor of medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies, and completed post-doctoral research as a fellow in the pulmonary and critical care at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.
He completed a residency in internal medicine at Medstar Franklin Square Medical Center, Baltimore, and fellowships in ultrasound and critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
