General Hospital Employees Raise Donate to Cancer Institute

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (May 4, 2017) -- Employees of Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital recently presented a check for $1,100 to Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. The money was raised through fundraisers conducted by hospital employees in conjunction with Commonwealth Health’s annual Mammothon, a community outreach that stresses the importance of mammograms in the early detection of breast cancer. Attending the check presentation are, from left: Brenda Heck, manager, imaging services at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, and chairman of the hospital’s Mammothon; Patricia Peters, supervisor, admissions and imaging services; Laura Toole, vice president, community and patient services, NRCI, and Kathryn Bellino, clinical director, clinical services.
