Hospital Honors EMS Workers with Luncheon

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (May 18, 2016) -- Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital honored emergency medical services workers throughout the region today by hosting a barbecue on the hospital grounds in observance of National EMS Week. EMS Week, which runs May 15-21 this year, is aimed at celebrating the men and women of our nation’s emergency medical services.

Tyler Ryan, executive assistant to Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tony George, presented a proclamation to Chip Dunham, director of emergency services at General Hospital. Attending the presentation are, from left: Gary McIntyre, director of operations, Commonwealth Health Emergency Medical Services; Andrew Conley, critical care paramedic, CHEMS; Jenny Frantz and William Terry, critical care team, CHEMS; Ryan; Dunham; Alan Klapat, deputy chief, Wilkes-Barre Fire Department; and Billy Wagner, Exeter EMS.
