Moses Taylor Forms Stroke Support Group

SCRANTON, Pa. (May 14, 2015) – Moses Taylor Hospital has formed a Stroke Support Group for survivors of stroke and their caregivers.
The group will hold its inaugural meeting at 6 p.m. June 3 in the 2 West Conference Room at the hospital, 700 Quincy Avenue. The topic is “Welcome: Life After Stroke & Patient Success Stories.”
Group facilitators are Colleen Dodgson, R.N., stroke program coordinator at Moses Taylor, and Justina M. Ferguson, M.S.N., R.N., instructor of nursing at Penn State Worthington Scranton Campus.
Dodgson and Ferguson will lead the first meeting and guest speakers will be scheduled for future meetings. Topics will range from physical and occupational therapy to medication, music therapy, nutrition and aromatherapy.
Meetings will be held the first Wednesday of each month. The program is open to the public free of charge. To RSVP, call Colleen Dodgson at 570-770-5257 by May 25.
