Neurologist Latifa Boukarrou Joins Commonwealth Health

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Aug. 8, 2014) – Neurologist Latifa Boukarrou, M.D., has joined Commonwealth Health Physician Network/InterMountain Medical Group.
Dr. Boukarrou will practice neurology at the Thomas P. Saxton Pavilion, 468 Northampton St. Suite 9, Edwardsville, and will be on the staff of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She earned a doctorate of medicine at the University Hassan II, Morocco, and holds a master’s degree in neuroscience, mental retardation and development disabilities from City University of New York, College of Staten Island. Dr. Boukarrou completed an internship in internal medicine at Brookdale Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., and a residency in neurology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She completed a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Dr. Boukarrou speaks fluent English, Arabic and French.
