Orthopedic Surgeon Joins Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Staff

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Sept. 13, 2016) – Johnny Hernandez-Gonzalez, M.D., has joined Orthopaedic Consultants, Kingston, and the medical staff of Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital as an orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Hernandez-Gonzalez is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus with a bachelor’s degree in biology and the university’s Medical Sciences Campus where he earned a medical degree. He completed a general surgery internship at San Juan City Hospital and an orthopedic surgery residency at the university’s Medical Sciences Campus.
He has been in private and academic practice in Puerto Rico for 26 years. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
