Orthopedic Surgeon to Discuss Joint Replacement

TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. (May 19, 2016) -- Michael Raklewicz, M.D., will present a free community lecture, “Joint Replacement” at 6 p.m. May 23 at Mohegan Sun Pocono, Plains Township.

Dr. Raklewicz is on the medical staff of Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital where he practices orthopedic surgery at the hospital’s newly established Joint Center. General Hospital is certified in hip, knee and shoulder replacement by The Joint Commission.

The presentation will focus on the latest in joint replacement surgery – from the onset of joint pain to the decision to have joint replacement surgery. Dr. Raklewicz will explain the step-by-step process and address the most common concerns with this surgery.

The event will be held in the Anthracite Meeting Room at the casino. Attendees are asked to use the hotel entrance.
