Physician To Present Free Session On Bariatric Surgery

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (April 20, 2016) – Clark Gerhart, M.D., of the Commonwealth Health bariatric program, will present a free weight loss surgery seminar at 6 p.m. May 12 at the Mountain Top Clinic, 239 South Mountain Boulevard, Mountain Top.
This community presentation is open to the public free of charge.
The Commonwealth Health bariatric program was established in October 2013 and is nationally recognized by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program, an organization dedicated to advancing safe, high-quality care for bariatric surgical patients through the accreditation of bariatric surgical centers. The program also was recognized by Aetna as an Institute of Quality.
Dr. Gerhart graduated from Hahnemann Medical College, and Drexel University, both in Philadelphia. He completed a residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, and is on the medical staffs of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Regional Hospital of Scranton. His clinical interests are robotic, general and bariatric surgery.
