Scranton Physician Receives "Everyday Hero" Award from Pennsylvania Medical Society

SCRANTON, PA (March 21, 2018) -- Kevin Olsen, M.D., a cardiologist at Commonwealth Health, was recognized by the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) with the "Everyday Hero Award" for the month of March. The award is a monthly member honor with nominations coming from patients, caregivers and medical professionals.

Dr. Olsen was nominated for the award by one of his patients who stated, "Dr. Olsen deserves to be honored because he cares about each and every one of his patients and treats them with respect and compassion."

Kevin Olsen, M.D., has practiced cardiology for the past 30 years. He was selected from a statewide pool of nominations and is the first recipient from Scranton to win the award. Members from the Pennsylvania Medical Society formally presented him with the award at his practice located in Scranton.
