Trauma Surgeon Joins WBGH Staff

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (July 12, 2016) – Jaromir Kohout, M.D., a trauma surgeon, has joined the medical staff of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Dr. Kohout is board-certified in general surgery, thoracic surgery, and surgical critical care. He studied at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic, and completed residencies in general surgery at Lankenau Hospital, Wynnewood, Pa., and in cardiothoracic surgery at Yale University.
Dr. Kohout also completed fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery at Harvard University Brighman and Women's Hospital and trauma/surgical critical care at Albany Medical Center.
