Tyler Hospital Donated To Cancer Society

TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. (March 15, 2016) – The imaging services department at Commonwealth Health Tyler Memorial Hospital presented a donation of $310 to the Wyoming County Cancer Society. Every fall Tyler holds a fundraiser that includes the sale of breast cancer awareness items and the purchase of these bracelets and ribbons allows hospital employees to dress down every Friday in October. The dietary staff baked breast cancer awareness sugar cookies and contributed the proceeds to the fundraiser. Betty Ubachs, executive director of the Wyoming County Cancer Society, said the funds will help with education, research and goes directly to the patients who utilize the local cancer society. Patients receive help with expenses such as medication and transportation.
