7/18/2018
TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. (July 18, 2018) -- The American College of Cardiology has notified Commonwealth Health Tyler Memorial Hospital that it has met the requirements for Chest Pain Re-Accreditation.
This three-year accreditation ensures the patients at Tyler who are suffering from acute coronary syndrome will receive prompt and evidence-based cardiac care that includes, if needed, transfer to a tertiary care facility. This accreditation provides the nurse at the bedside the ability to recognize and begin rapid interventions to assist with the diagnosis and treatment.
The announcement was made following an ACC onsite visit to Tyler to review all policies, procedures, and to witness the hospital’s practices. The ACC interviewed members of the administrative team, medical staff, nursing staff and emergency department.
