WBGH 1st to Be Named Weather-Ready
11/16/2015
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Nov. 17, 2015) – Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital is the first hospital in the region to meet the requirements for acceptance into the Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador program.
The designation means that General Hospital receives extreme weather warnings directly from the National Weather Service Binghamton office along with weather-related education to share with staff.
General Hospital representatives worked with the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of Public Health Preparedness, the East Central Pennsylvania Regional Task Force Health/Medical Committee, and the National Weather Service Binghamton office to earn the designation.
