WBGH Seeks Junior Volunteers

WILKES-BARRE, PA (May 27, 2014) – Wilkes-Barre General Hospital is seeking young people between the ages of 13 and 18 for its summer Junior Volunteer Program.
The program begins June 23 and runs through the end of August. The program participants are expected to be friendly and courteous. Some typical tasks that junior volunteers perform include greeting visitors, delivering mail and flowers to patients, selling items off the hospitality cart, assisting the nursing staff with non-professional duties and manning the information desk.
A participant may volunteer up to six hours in one day each week. Schedules may be tailored to fit the volunteer’s needs.
