Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Employees Top Heart Walk Donor

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (June 16, 2017) –Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital was the top fundraiser for the American Heart Association Heart Walk for the 12th consecutive year, raising $15,665 through employee-led events and sales. In addition to donations raised by employees for the annual walk, they conducted doughnut and pizza sales, a basket raffle and sold paper hearts. Commonwealth Health was this year’s major corporate sponsor, donating $20,000 to the AHA Heart Ball and $5,000 to the Heart Walk.
