Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Offers Summer Junior Volunteer Program

Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital will hold its Summer Junior Volunteer Program from June 22 through Aug. 28. The program is open to 13- to 18-year-olds and participants may volunteer up to six hours in one day each week. Schedules may be tailored to fit the volunteer’s needs.

Typical tasks that junior volunteers perform include greeting visitors, delivering mail and flowers to patients, selling items off the hospitality cart, assisting the nursing staff with non-professional duties and manning the information desk.
