Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Wound Care Center Awarded Certification

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Nov. 22, 2016) – The Wound Healing Center at Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital has  earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for the Management of Wound Care Certification. The Gold Seal of Approval® is a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care. 

The hospital underwent a rigorous on-site review as Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards.  Clinical practice guidelines and performance measures also were assessed.
