Free CPR course offered

The American Heart Association is offering a free Friends and Family CPR course at 3 p.m. Dec 6 at the Commonwealth Health EMS substation, 222 Conyngham Ave., Wilkes-Barre.

This one-hour course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult hands-only CPR; child CPR with breaths; adult and child AED use; infant CPR; and choking relief for adults, children and infants.

Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the American Heart Association's pratice-while-watching technique, providing students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.
